Cilacar 10 vs Amlodipine – what is the difference?
Both are calcium channel blockers that lower BP about equally. Cilnidipine also blocks N-type calcium channels, which is why it tends to cause less ankle swelling and less rise in heart rate. Amlodipine is cheaper and has longer safety data. Your doctor decides.
Cilacar 10 vs Cilacar 20 – which do I need?
The strength depends on your BP control. Doctors usually start with 5 or 10 mg once daily and increase to 20 mg if needed. Never change strength on your own.
Can I take Cilacar 10 with alcohol?
Limit alcohol. Both lower blood pressure, so together they can make you dizzy or faint, especially on standing.
