Frequently asked questions
What is Gabapin 300 used for?
Gabapin 300 contains gabapentin 300 mg. It is used for nerve pain – diabetic neuropathy, sciatica, pain after shingles – and for focal seizures in epilepsy. It calms over-active nerve signals.
Gabapin 300 vs Gabapin NT – what is the difference?
Gabapin 300 is gabapentin alone. Gabapin NT adds nortriptyline, an antidepressant that also eases nerve pain, and is used when gabapentin alone is not enough. Your doctor chooses based on your pain and sleep.
How long does Gabapin take to work for nerve pain?
Some relief may start within a week, but the full effect takes a few weeks as the dose is gradually increased. Do not stop early because it seems slow.
Can I take Gabapin 300 with alcohol?
Avoid it. Alcohol with gabapentin causes marked drowsiness, dizziness and poor coordination, and increases the risk of falls.
