Evion 400: price, uses & cheaper substitutes

Evion 400 contains vitamin E (tocopheryl acetate) 400 mg. It is used to treat or prevent vitamin E deficiency when diet is not enough or a medical condition reduces fat absorption. Most healthy people get enough vitamin E from food.

Vitamin E helps keep skin and eyes healthy, but there is no reliable evidence that swallowing Evion 400 makes hair grow or clears facial skin in people who are not deficient. See a dermatologist for persistent hair fall or skin problems.

Only if a doctor or pharmacist has advised it. The NHS says 540 mg (800 IU) or less a day of vitamin E supplements is unlikely to cause harm, so do not take more than one 400 mg capsule a day, and count vitamin E in any multivitamin you take.

The capsule is made to be swallowed. Some people pierce it to apply the oil, but it can irritate or block pores in some skin types. Use a product made for the skin instead, and stop if you get a rash.
