What is Forxiga 10 used for?
Forxiga 10 contains dapagliflozin 10 mg, an SGLT2 inhibitor. It lowers blood sugar in type 2 diabetes by removing sugar through urine, and is also prescribed for heart failure and chronic kidney disease, even in people without diabetes.
Should I take Dapanorm 10 in the morning or at night?
Morning is usually recommended so that the extra urination happens during the day rather than disturbing your sleep. Take it at the same time daily.
Does dapagliflozin cause urine or genital infections?
Genital fungal infections are the most common side effect because of sugar in the urine. Good hygiene and adequate water help; see a doctor for persistent itching, burning urine or fever.
Can I take Forxiga with metformin?
Yes, this is a very common combination and is available as a single tablet. Together they lower sugar by different routes without much added risk of hypoglycaemia.
