What Itopride 50 mg is used for
- Functional dyspepsia – bloating, feeling full quickly, upper stomach discomfort after meals.
- Nausea and vomiting linked to slow stomach emptying.
- Acid reflux with regurgitation, alongside an acid-reducing medicine such as pantoprazole.

Ganaton before or after food?
Before food. Take it 15 to 30 minutes before meals so that the stomach is moving faster when the food arrives.
Ganaton vs Ganaton OD – what is the difference?
Ganaton 50 mg is taken three times a day before meals. Ganaton OD is a 150 mg once-daily sustained-release tablet for convenience. Your doctor picks based on your routine.
Itopride vs domperidone – which is better?
Both speed stomach emptying. Domperidone has more concerns about heart rhythm and is limited to short courses; itopride is thought to affect the heart less, but data is more limited. Your doctor will choose based on your heart health and other medicines.
Can I take Ganaton with pantoprazole?
Yes, this is a common combination for reflux with bloating, and fixed-dose tablets such as Pan-IT exist. Take pantoprazole before breakfast and itopride before each meal as prescribed.
