Frequently asked questions

Ivecop 12 before or after food?

Take it on an empty stomach with water, at least an hour before food, so it is absorbed properly.

How many Ivecop 12 tablets for scabies?

Your doctor works out the dose from your body weight; one 12 mg tablet suits most adults, repeated after 1 to 2 weeks. Treat all household contacts on the same day and wash bedding in hot water.

Ivermectol 12 vs permethrin cream for scabies – which is better?

Permethrin 5% cream is the usual first treatment. Ivermectin tablets are preferred for crusted scabies, outbreaks in institutions, or when cream has failed or cannot be applied properly. Doctors sometimes use both.

Why is my itching worse after taking Ivecop 12?

Itching can increase briefly as the mites die and the body reacts to them. It usually settles over 2 to 4 weeks; an antihistamine or soothing lotion can help. See a doctor if new burrows appear.
