Frequently asked questions
Amlong 5 morning or night?
Either, as long as it is the same time every day. Amlodipine lasts 24 hours. Some doctors suggest night-time dosing; follow your prescription.
Can I take Amlong 5 with alcohol?
Alcohol can lower BP further and cause dizziness or flushing. Keep it moderate and avoid it when you first start.
Why are my ankles swelling on Amlong?
Ankle swelling is the best-known side effect of amlodipine, caused by widening of small blood vessels. Raising your legs helps; if it is troublesome, your doctor may lower the dose or change the medicine.
Can I take Amlong 5 on an empty stomach?
Yes, with or without food.
