What Aceclofenac 100 mg is used for
- Joint pain and stiffness from osteoarthritis (wear-and-tear arthritis of the knees, hips and hands).
- Rheumatoid arthritis – pain and swelling in the joints.
- Ankylosing spondylitis – inflammatory back pain and stiffness.
- Short-term relief of muscle, back and dental pain and pain after injury, as prescribed by a doctor.
Frequently asked questions
Zerodol before or after food?
After food. Take Zerodol with or just after a meal with a full glass of water. Taking it on an empty stomach makes acidity, stomach pain and ulcers more likely.
Zerodol vs Zerodol P vs Zerodol SP – what is the difference?
Zerodol contains only aceclofenac 100 mg. Zerodol P adds paracetamol for extra pain and fever relief, and Zerodol SP adds paracetamol plus serratiopeptidase for swelling. Your doctor chooses based on whether you mainly have pain, fever or swelling.
Can I take Zerodol with alcohol?
It is best not to. Alcohol and aceclofenac both irritate the stomach, and together they increase the chance of ulcers and bleeding.
Is Hifenac safe for the stomach?
Aceclofenac is thought to be a little gentler on the stomach than some older NSAIDs, but it can still cause ulcers and bleeding, especially in older people or with long use. Take it after food and tell your doctor if you have had an ulcer; a stomach-protecting tablet such as pantoprazole is often prescribed alongside.
