Medyzen is a managed hospital pharmacy company operating across India. We partner with hospitals, clinics and nursing homes to run fully licensed, professionally staffed in-house pharmacies — handling drug licensing, pharmacist staffing, inventory, compliance and fulfilment end to end. Founded in 2025, we focus on bringing reliable, well-run pharmacy infrastructure to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

The Role:

Medyzen's patient app, three internal dashboards and the in-hospital kiosk are all served by one Go API on PostgreSQL. As a backend intern you would work inside that API on scoped, real pieces of it — an endpoint, a migration, a report the operations team asked for — and ship them to production with a reviewer beside you.

This is not a training programme with exercises. You will write code that runs, break things in a test database first, and learn what production actually demands: correctness, access control, and data you cannot afford to lose.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement small, well-scoped endpoints and database changes in Go and PostgreSQL, with tests that hit the real database.
  • Fix bugs the team hands you, and learn to find the cause rather than patch the symptom.
  • Write clear pull requests: what changed, why, and how you checked it.
  • Read the code around your change before you touch it, and ask when the reason for something is not written down.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of at least one programming language; Go is a plus but not required — we will teach the language, not the fundamentals.
  • Basic SQL: you can write a join and explain what an index does.
  • Some exposure to HTTP APIs, from either side.
  • Git, and the patience to make small commits.
  • Available for a minimum of three months, ideally six.
