What Hyoscine butylbromide 10 mg is used for
- Stomach and intestinal cramps.
- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) with cramping pain.
- Period pain with cramps.
- Spasm of the bile duct or urinary tract (renal colic), along with other treatment.
Frequently asked questions
What is Buscogast used for?
Buscogast (hyoscine butylbromide) relieves cramping pain in the stomach and intestines, IBS cramps and period pain by relaxing the gut muscle. It does not treat infections, acidity or constipation.
How many Buscogast tablets can I take in a day?
Usually one 10 mg tablet three times a day; your doctor may increase to two tablets up to four times a day. Do not use it for more than 2 weeks without medical advice.
Buscogast before or after food?
Either – it works with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Can I take Buscogast with alcohol?
Avoid alcohol. It increases dizziness and drowsiness and usually worsens stomach problems.
