Frequently asked questions
Razo 20 before or after food?
Before food – ideally 30 minutes before breakfast. Rabeprazole can technically be taken with food, but it works best when taken before a meal.
Razo 20 vs Pan 40 – which is better?
Both are proton pump inhibitors. Rabeprazole starts acting slightly faster for some people, pantoprazole is cheaper and has long safety data. Your doctor chooses based on symptoms, cost and other medicines.
Can I take Razo 20 with alcohol?
There is no direct interaction, but alcohol increases acid and will undo the benefit. Keep it minimal.
Can I take Razo 20 daily for a long time?
Only with a doctor's review. Short courses are usual; long-term PPI use needs monitoring for magnesium, vitamin B12 and bone health.
Is Razo 20 safe in pregnancy?
Only if your doctor decides it is needed. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before using it.
Razo 20 vs Razo D – what is the difference?
Razo 20 is plain rabeprazole 20 mg. Razo D adds domperidone, which helps nausea, bloating and slow stomach emptying. Your doctor chooses based on your symptoms.
How quickly does Razo 20 work?
Heartburn often improves within a day, with full effect after 2 to 3 days of regular dosing.
Does Razo 20 need a prescription?
Yes. Rabeprazole is a Schedule H medicine in India and should be sold against a prescription.
